Catherine Lynn Binsacca, born on March 28, 1956, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2026, from cirrhosis in St. Mark's Hospital. She is survived the love of her life and husband, Jim; sons Alex, John, and Blake, and mother Lee Higham; sister Tamara Sullivan, and brothers Clarence, Greg, and Michael Fields, along with a plethora of extended family members throughout the country.
Catherine grew up in California and spent the majority of her life there. After college, she worked as a secretary at Cornish & Carey where she met her husband Jim with whom they had three children with. Her kids are her pride and joy, Catherine always wanted kids and she leaves them as her greatest achievement and legacy. She cared deeply for her children, wanting nothing more than to be a full time mother.
Catherine was a hot-headed mom. She was not afraid to share her opinion and worked hard to stay involved with those close to her. She always tried to keep everyone happy and put in hard effort to take care of her family despite the numerous health issues she occurred in the latter part of her life. Through her struggles she was able to continue pleasing those around her as even in her last days she made a wonderful easter dinner for her brother and son even as she could barely keep herself standing.
The best way to describe Catherine was a doer. She would always be the first one to take initiative and get a plan going, the excitement of the family. Whether it was her love of antique furniture or springtime flowers; Catherine would try to bring some decor and brightness to the family. She will be missed for her creativity and undying love for her family and we will miss her and her warmth.
