Charles "Chuck" Marvin Windley

April 6, 1960 — November 18, 2023

In Loving Memory of Charles "Chuck" Marvin Windley

Chuck peacefully passed away from heart complications on November 18th, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 6th, 1960, to Jerald and Colleen Windley in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Chuck grew up in West Valley City and graduated from Granger High School.

Chuck’s life truly started when he met the love of his life - Connie Smith. Together they shared an extraordinary bond and were happily married for 40 years. Their enduring love and partnership were a source of inspiration to those around them.

Chuck and Connie lived in Murray, Utah where they raised their three girls: Stacey, Megan and Michelle.

Chuck was a very involved Dad. His girls always knew he was proud of them. He, his wife and daughters were always referred to as “Chuck and his Chicks”

As a loving grandfather, Chuck enjoyed his seven grandchildren, Holden, Greyson, Serenity, Teagan, Finn, Capri, and Kayden. They were the light of his life. Together they enjoyed camping, the swimming pool, watching the Utah Jazz, jumping on the trampoline and bowling on the Wii.

Chuck dedicated 28 years of his life to his work at Fetzers, finding joy and fulfillment in both the tasks at hand and the camaraderie he shared with his colleagues. His claim to fame was helping build the podium at the LDS Conference Center; made from President Gordon B. Hinckley walnut tree.

Chuck's love for woodworking was not just a job; it was a passion that he generously shared with everyone he knew. He found joy in creating beautiful pieces with his hands.

Their house is full of his craftsmanship and creativity.

He had a love for golf, the university of Utah football and the Utah Jazz. You would always find him wearing his red U of U hat, unless he was around the Schwendiman’s when he changed it to his blue BYU hat.

Chuck’s life was filled with love and dedication. His profound impact on family and friends is an enduring testament to the remarkable man he was. He was truly a friend to all and will be missed beyond words can express.

The family expresses gratitude for the outpouring of love and support they have received.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Smith Windley; daughters: Stacey Duhaine (Jason), Megan Hale (Casey) and Michelle Windley; seven grandchildren; sisters, Yvonne Smith and Kathryn Windley; brother, Maurice Windley; along with many in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerald and Colleen Windley; his brother Warren Windley; his in-laws Adrian and Patricia Smith; and brother in-law, Mike Smith.
