Charlie Arellano, age 80, passed away on May 15, 2026, at his home in West Jordan, Utah. Charlie was born on March 8, 1946, in Montrose County, Colorado, to Raymond and Beatrice Arellano. He married Elva Cordova on November 13, 1972.
Charlie is survived by his wife, Elva Arellano; children Ruby (Joshua) Farnworth, Rosalie (Ezra) Moses, Robert (Leslie) Arellano, Veronica (Nicholas) Taylor, Andrew Arellano, and Jeremy Arellano; 18 grandkids and eight great-grandkids; brothers David Arellano and Will Arellano.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Beatrice Arellano; brothers Billy, Lawrence, Art, and Fred; and sister Jesse.
Charlie loved his family and loved listening to music. He had a passion for playing the guitar and teaching his sons and grandkids how to play. You could always find him working in his yard or garden and watering his lawn.
Charlie liked working with his hands and was always building something or a shed to put it in. He was a great storyteller and jokester; if you were lucky enough to know him, it’s a guarantee he was laughing at you or with you.
We are honored to have had you as a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. You will be missed dearly.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. You may visit with the family prior to services at a viewing from 10:00 to 11:45 AM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary at the same address.
