Charlotte R Valdez

Charlotte passed away unexpectedly on December 31, 2022 in West Valley City.
Charlotte was born in Montrose, Colorado to Arthur Valencia Rocha and Flora Verna Martinez Rocha. Charlotte married the love of her life, Solomon J. Valdez on March 8, 1975. They had two children, Angela Starks (Terry) and Solomon Valdez Jr. They loved their children more than anything.
Charlotte loved doing crossword puzzles, taking rides, listening to music in the car. She also loved the gambling games on the phone. My mom was also stubborn as the day is long. Lol!! She was friendly to all people and strangers.
Her biggest and proudest accomplishment were her husband, children, and grandchildren- Matthew, Anthony, Ty, and Kylee Starks, and her great grandchildren. Terry, Holston, Gracelynn, McKinnley, Addison, Bransen, and Rylynn Starks.
Charlotte is preceded in death by her husband Solomon J. Valdez, her parents Arthur Valencia Rocha and Flora Verna Rocha. Her sisters Virginia Rocha, Barbara Perez, and Lizzy Manzanares. Her brothers, Rusty, Wayne, Robert, and Tudo Rocha, and her grandson Anthony David Starks.
She is survived by her daughter Angela Starks (Terry), and son Solomon Valdez Jr. Her sister Theresa De la Cruz and brother Ernie Rocha and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will held January 11, 2023 at 11:00 am with a viewing an hour and a half prior at Memorial Redwood Mortuaries; 6500 S Redwood Rd, West Jordan, Utah, 84123, interment to follow.
