Chauncey Keyontè McCloyn was born 06/10/2004 in Ogden, UT and with heavy hearts we announce his passing on 02/01/2026 in SLC, UT.

Chauncey was the brightest light in every room-someone who’s infectious love, laughter and radiant energy naturally demanded your attention and was impossible to ignore. He came into this world surrounded by peace as the storm roared around us, and we knew he was a force that would come to change the lives of all those around him.

Keyontè, had a rare spirit. He was kind, outgoing, funny, and full of life. He had a way of making people feel cared about whether it was through his smile, his jokes, his loyalty, or his big heart. He was taken away from us way too soon, he was going to school for Psychology at SLCC and, in his free time, he loved to dance, sing and just have a good time.

Above all, Chauncey Keyontè McCloyn loved deeply his family, his friends, and especially his momma. His bond with those he loved was strong, protective, and unconditional. Though our hearts are shattered, we hold tight to the joy he brought into our lives and the love he poured into others.

Calvin-Floyd Stepparents Shanna Mollett James Floyd Grand-Parents Henry McCloyn, Karen Cantrell, Sisters, Marion McCloyn, Jayda McCloyn, Maia Smart, Taysia McCloyn, Khloie McCloyn, Teairra McCloyn, Brothers Denzel McCloyn, Harlem McCloyn and Tucker McCloyn and Many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

To honor Chauncey's vibrant spirit guests are asked to wear bright colors rather than traditional black, just like Chauncey would have wanted.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at 11:00 a.m., at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84121with viewings Tuesday, February 10, 2026 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and before services from 9:00 – 10:45 a.m. Interment at Memorial Redwood Cemetery.
