Cherye Lynne Roberts passed away peacefully on March 31, 2026, in West Jordan, Utah, and is now reunited with her beloved husband. She was born on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1938, in Salina, Utah, to Simmons and Dorothy Curtis.
Cherye married her lifelong love, Gordon Roberts, on May 25th, 1957, and together they shared 68 wonderful years. They raised three children together, and she was a very loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She cherished time with her family and always welcomed new additions with joy and excitement. She spent many hours sewing, crocheting, and quilting beautiful gifts for those she loved. She also enjoyed baking and was especially known for her delicious chocolate cake. There are many fond memories of family gatherings, often including a glassful of Kool-Aid. She also had a great love for Olive Garden and ice cream sundaes.
Cherye loved taking walks, particularly with her brother, Paul, and found simple joy in those moments together. Although it may have taken a bit of convincing to turn Gordon away from his Westerns, she also enjoyed tuning in to the Utah Jazz games. She spent a lot of time with family at their cabin and will be deeply missed on trips to come.
Cherye is survived by her three children, Shane Roberts (Brenda), Terry Roberts, and Kim Spratt (Mike); six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Paul Curtis.
