Cherylinn Neeley

May 29, 1963 — May 22, 2022

Cherylinn "Cheryl" Neeley, 58, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at home in Millcreek, Utah. She was born on May 29, 1963 in Salt Lake City, Utah as the only daughter and youngest of three children to Duane Kent Neeley and Gearldene Allred Neeley Bishop.

Cheryl could not wait to graduate from Olympus High School. She was ready to get out of there! Her best birthday gift that year was her high school graduation on her birthday May 29, 1981. While they were handing out tissues at graduation, Cheryl gladly passed them up.

She then attended Trade Tech (now Salt Lake Community College) where she studied to be a beautician. Getting clients proved hard and Cheryl did not like being a beautician after all. She went to work for Service Blueprint working various positions including copying, clerical work, and receptionist. She worked there for over twenty years by the time she was let go.

While working for Service Blueprint she bought her dream car, a Ford Probe GT, with a whale's tail. She loved that green car. It was a sad day when she finally had to put it up for sale.

After Service Blueprint, Cheryl's health started to decline. She spent her time writing, watching movies, reading, listening to religious programs, and keeping up with news and politics. She enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews.

She will be remembered for her calm and gentle spirit, her intelligent and knowledgeable mind, her strong belief in God, and her long braid.

Cheryl is survived by her mother Gearldene "Gerri" Bishop and stepfather Dwight E. Bishop; brother Kenneth (Mavis) Neeley, brother Richard (Linda) Neeley, five nieces: Marylee (Kyle) Volland, Abby, Marissa, Lily (fiancé Jason Machado), and Lydia Neeley; and two nephews: Timothy (Cidalia) Neeley and Andrew Neeley. She is preceded in death by her father Duane Kent Neeley, three uncles, two cousins, and three sets of grandparents.
