Salt Lake City, UT – Chloe Lavon Simpson Searles, age 85, died July 1, 2016 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born November 4, 1930 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Kenneth Vaughn and Dorothy Robinson Simpson. Chloe married Raymond Hanford Searles on December 25, 1949.

Chloe grew up living close by her extended family on Chicago Street in Salt Lake. She went to West High School. After high school, Chloe started working for S.H. Kress & Co. She retired with Utah Power and Light. She enjoyed traveling, especially with her husband and friends Carol and Jess Nelson. She had a passion for golf and spending time with her girlfriends. She truly loved family time. Grandma Chloe will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

Chloe is survived by her children, Ken (Gwen) Searles, Ray (Tina) Searles, Kory Searles, Jolene (Scott) Draper, Michelle (Kris) Moyes; 15 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sweetheart, Raymond; her parents; a sister, Dorothy Ellen Vincent; and a grandson, Kory Von Searles Jr.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 8, 2016 at 11:00am at Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, where friends may visit with the family from 9:30am to 10:30am prior to the services. Interment: Utah Veterans Memorial Park Cemetery.
