Christian Avelar

Christian Avelar passed away surrounded by his family on January 6, 2024 in Salt Lake City.

He was born on June 3, 2001 to Rudy and Sulay Avelar.

Christian graduated from West High School. He loved creating art for all to see through his drawings and designing and modifying his own clothing and hats. He enjoyed working on his car and was very proud of it. He was passionate about music. He was quite the chef and enjoyed preparing meals for his family and friends. In his spare time, he built model cast iron cars and collected miniature cars and figures. He also was a gun and ammo enthusiast.

He is survived by his father Rudy, mother Sulay and brothers; Rudy Avelar III and Javier Garcia and his girlfriend Tiffany Odida.

Chirstian is preceded in death by his grandfathers; Rodolfo Avelar and Sergio Lopez.

Funeral services for Christian will be on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Memorial Murray Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East, Murray. A viewing will begin at 11:00 am at the mortuary. He will be laid to rest following the service at Memorial Lakeview Cemetery, 1640 East Lakeview Drive, Bountiful.
