Cindy Marshall Howell

November 25, 1985 — May 9, 2015

Our beautiful wife, mother, daughter, and sister, Cindy Marshall Howell joined her Savior on May 9, 2015. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on November 25, 1985 to Linda Gentry and Richard Marshall. She married Travis Howell and they have two beautiful boys, Clayton and Owen.

Cindy was a special kind of person. She had a contagious personality. She loved to laugh and make others laugh. She constantly made silly jokes if you were near her. She loved to record silly videos or pictures and send them out to friends/family. She loved to be different. She didn't need to do things like everyone else did them or act like everyone else acted in different situations. Cindy would always defend the weak against the strong. She had compassion for the poor, the sick, and the hurt.

She loved animals. She loved her dog, Codee, and two cats, Turkish and Mickey. Her favorite animal was the elephant. She loved to watch movies and TV shows and music. She listened to an array of different kinds of music. She loved to dance and sing to music. You wouldn't have had to be around her too long until she would either sing or dance along to a song. Cindy was very creative and loved to express herself through art. She loved to paint and draw. She was amazing at coloring velvet templates ("Velv-its"), sometimes taking her months to finish. She would love to give them away to people as gifts. She had recently picked up painting on canvases, too.

Cindy was very giving. She would love to buy people things and give them something they talked about wanting. She was always concerned with what others needed and was always thinking about others needs before her own. She watched many of her friends and family member's children often times on a daily basis. She would weekly drive to her grandmas and help her keep the house clean or garden. Whether it was someone close to her or even neighbors or acquaintances on her Facebook, she would be concerned with those in need. Cindy was an amazing example of a servant to her friends and family.

Cindy enjoyed spending time with her family. She was an amazing wife and a wonderful mother. She would be happy just so long as her husband and children were next to her. She loved to spend time with her family and go fishing, riding her Y-Flyker on Jordan Parkway, play disc golf, go to parks, go on walks, jump on the trampoline, play baggo with friends, swimming, pet farm animals, feed ducks, ride on roller coasters. Cindy loved fast cars and heights. She always talked about going skydiving or air ballooning.

She loved make up and to do nails. Her dad would tell you that she was initially more of a tom boy, but eventually grew into a princess. She loved the color yellow. She loved jewelry and tattoos and loved to get new clothes and wear different kinds of outfits. She loved to change her hair color and get her hair done. She enjoyed connecting with people through social networking and posting beautiful pictures of herself, or silly pictures/videos.

She was beautiful. She was a Christian. She served in childcare at a local church (The Rock Church) in Salt Lake with her family. She made many close friends that were very near and dear to her. She kept Biblical verses in her heart and on her white board in her room. She believed that she had a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 15, 2015 at Noon at The Rock Church, 11630 South 700 East, where friends and family are invited to visit 10:00-11:30am prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Redwood Memorial Cemetery.
