Clair (Clarence Heamon) Redding 1939-2013
Our loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Clair H. Redding, Age 74, of Fruit Heights, Utah passed away May 1, 2013. His loving family was with him as he peacefully returned home. Born April 24,1939 in Heber, UT to Albert and Adeline (Riley) Redding. Married Sandy Ringwood, later divorced, and Cindia Barrett, later divorced. He married his soul mate, Patricia L.(Pontillo) Redding, 1981. Clair graduated West High School, SLC 1957. He was a good dancer and danced on the Bruce VanDerHoff Show. He ran around with the Crusader's Car Club. He worked for a while selling cars for Freed's and Gordon Wilson and T Grant Sales. He loved to hunt and fish and shared this love with his family and friends. He was never without a faithful side-kick hunting dog-hunter or not! He had a wonderful sense of humor and could come up with a funny story for any occasion. He played the guitar and banjo and loved country music. He was an amazing man who loved and cherished his family and friends and would do anything for them. He joined Teamsters Local 222 in 1960 and spent nearly 45 yrs doing the thing he loved most: driving truck. He worked at Cudahy Packing Co, P.I.E., and retired from A.B.F. in 2004. Clair is survived by his wife, Patricia (Pat). Brothers, Joe Redding (Shirlene), St. George, Ut.; Tom Redding (Becky); sister, Phyllis Sine; daughters, Cori Ferguson (Frank), Buckeye, Az., Leslie Noland (Mark), Kelsey Redding; step-children, Scott Pontillo, Tia Pontillo; grandchildren, Sierra Redding, Derrick Noland, Ryan Noland, Gray Knighton, Jaden Knighton, Dominique Campbell, Dakoda Redding, Samuel Pontillo, Jack Murphy; great-granddaughter Jordyn Redding. Proceded in death by his parents, Bert and Addie Redding; brother, Kenny Redding; great-grandson, Tytan Scott. A celebration of his life will be held at the LDS-Kaysville Chapel (200 N 855 E) 3:00 pm Thursday May 9, 2013. Immediate family 2:30 pm.
