Claudia S. Venegas, age 103 passed away on August 23, 2023, in Maricopa, Arizona. She was born on October 28, 1919 in Teloloapan Guerrero, Mexico to Jesus Sanchez and Micaela Enoe Fuentes. Claudia married Verulo Venegas on August 15, 1945.
She went to school in Mexico City, Mexico. Claudia loved swimming, dancing and most of all singing. Her and her husband raised five children together in Mexico City. She was active in her church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a Relief Society president. She loved attending the Temple wherever she was in Mexico, the United States and even in Spain. For her the most important thing was her family, spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Claudia is survived by her children; Patricia (Ron) Bagley of Layton, Utah, Elizabeth (David) Kocherhans of Bountiful, Utah, Aida (Ricardo) Selva of Houston, Texas, Carlos (Tammy) Venegas of Maricopa, Arizona; 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, one sister and her son, Alvaro.
Graveside services for Claudia will be on Friday, September 8, 2023 at 11:00 am at Memorial Lakeview Mortuary and Cemetery, 1640 East Lakeview Drive, Bountiful where she will be laid to rest next to her husband. A viewing will be one hour prior to the graveside in our intimate room at Lakeview Memorial.Service Information
