Cleo LaVon Glover Chenoweth

February 22, 1932 — March 21, 2024

Taylorsville, Utah

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister Cleo LaVon Glover Chenoweth, age 92, passed away peacefully at 6:30 a.m. on the morning of March 21, 2024 at Sandstone Care Center in Taylorsville, Utah.

She was born on February 22, 1932 at the Cottonwood Maternity Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah to Effie Euzina Johnson and Leo James Glover.

She loved planting lots of different flowers and walking through her flower garden.  She also loved making beautiful silk flower arrangements. Her other favorite things were camping, hiking, rock collecting, crocheting, taking road trips with her family, square dancing and making jewelry. She met Leo Chenoweth and they moved to St. George so they could do hiking and camping during more months of the year than they could in Salt Lake. Her favorite thing to do is spend as much time as she could with her family. She had so much love in her heart for all her family and we all loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Vickie Kay, grandson Nick Harris, husband Leo Chenoweth, sisters: Lois Mabey, Arlene Knight, LuDeen Beckstead and brothers: Charles L Glover and Jay Leon Glover.

She is survived by her daughter Connie (Gary) Busby, brother Lyle J. Glover, sister Linda Johnson, five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Many people that work at Sandstone Care Center have expressed their love for Cleo.  We have been told that she was a favorite patient there. Their words were that everyone absolutely loved her and everyone knew Cleo.  They called her a sweet soul. A favorite story told to us is the bond she had with two ladies there. They all went to church every Sunday and sat together holding hands and watched out for each other. One person actually said thank you for letting her stay at their center so they were able to get to know her.

At this time, we would like to thank everyone at Sandstone Care Center and at Memorial Mortuaries and Cemeteries for taking such good care of mom.

There will be a graveside service held on Monday April 1, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. with a one hour viewing prior to the service at 1:00 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 S. Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah
