Colleen Stutz, beloved wife, mother, and caregiver passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on May 1, 2023, in Provo, Utah. Colleen was born on May 22, 1954, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Raymond Trone and Darlene Trone. She is the third of five children and was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Eugene Trone.
Colleen married Brent Lee Stutz and together they raised five children, Ryan (Kristina), Tyler (Heidi), Derek (Kelsi), Trenton (Kasey), and Kelsey (Michael Richardson). She was an adoring wife and mother, always showering her family with love, support, and guidance. She was a dedicated and nurturing preschool teacher for many years, crafting an early foundation for future generations. But Colleen’s most cherished role was that of caregiver, as she devoted endless time and energy to the needs of others. Her kindness, empathy, and unwavering compassion left a lasting impression on those she served.
Colleen lived her life in the service of others, embodying the spirit of selflessness and kindness. Her presence lit up the room, and her positive energy filled those around her with comfort and hope. Colleen was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her love for her Savior Jesus Christ extended to those whose lives she touched. Her heart was as big as the beautiful mountains she lived beneath, and her legacy will continue to influence and inspire those who knew her.
The loss of Colleen will be deeply felt by her family and friends. They will forever cherish the memories of her kind and gentle spirit, her contagious smile, and her infinite love. Colleen left a significant impact on the world, and her legacy will live on through her family and those whose lives she touched.
Rest in peace. You will be dearly missed, always remembered, and forever cherished in our hearts.
As an alternative to flowers, please consider donating to these two charities, in Colleen’s name. Both of which were very meaningful to her.
