Connie Bosworth, 82, of West Jordan, Utah, died of natural causes on May 16, 2026.
Connie was born on October 24, 1943, to Junius LaVar Christophersen Bosworth and Delma Workman Packer in Preston, Idaho. Connie was the second of eight children.
She graduated from seminary in May 1960 and from Idaho Falls High School in 1961.
Connie met and fell in love with Darwin Heyrend, and they married in the Idaho Falls Temple on May 31, 1962. They had four beautiful children and later divorced. Connie married Bill Mullett in 2011.
Connie developed a tremendous talent for the piano at a young age and was blessed with a beautiful singing voice, with a range of E below middle C to Bb above high C. Connie’s musical talent defined her, and she shared her music throughout her life. She wrote songs and performed as a country music singer, played the organ in the Mesa, Arizona, and Jordan River, Utah, temples, and played at the Conference Center for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She sang for many years in the Utah Chorale and performed with the Old Time Fiddlers. She also competed in a Utah Senior’s pageant and did very well.
Connie also had a gift for sewing, needlework, and crocheting. She embroidered beautiful pillowcases, crocheted all of her grandchildren's afghans, and cross-stitched all of her favorite temples. She spent many hours perfecting her penmanship, wrote her personal history, and kept good family records.
Connie was known for her frugality and for making do with very little. She had a flair for fashion and kept a nice, affordable wardrobe. She also loved animals and will miss her cat, Billy.
She served in the army in Germany, and after that, spent some time as a police dispatcher.
Connie loved the temple, and in her later years, she attended daily when possible.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Leah and brother Brent, and her brothers-in-law Bill Daily and Cory Jenkins. She is survived by her four children, James (Sondra) Heyrend, Tim (Denine) Heyrend, Jon Heyrend, and Melanie Heyrend; her siblings Kathleen Daily, Lennis (Jana) Bosworth, Camille (Russ) Duncan, Rita (Terrel) Robertson, and Jean Jenkins; as well as 17 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
The family will be holding a memorial service on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 1:30 pm at 1336 Skyline Dr, Bountiful, Utah, 84010.
