Our Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother Connie D. Mendez passed away peacefully on January 26, 2023 in the presence of her loving family at 74 years old in Murray, Utah. Connie was born on October 16, 1948 to Jose Abe Duran and Concha Ochoa Duran in Price, Utah. She married Rudy Mendez and later divorced.
Connie was a very independent and caring woman. She loved dancing and cooking. She loved and was loved. She lived a life full of years of understanding. A friend to many and will be dearly missed. We will carry her memory in our hearts forever.
Connie worked for the Veterans Administration of Salt Lake City for 26 years. She valued a strong work ethic. She loved being with her family, friends, and will be truly missed. A
loyal friend to many. She especially cherished her friendship with Tina Chacon . We are all very grateful and thankful to Tina for taking such great care of Connie.
Connie is survived by her sons Rudy I Mendez (Veronica), Ronnie Mendez, Anthony Mendez (Jessica), and Armando Mendez (Gena), her grandchildren Rudy, Salvador, Jessica, Steven, Crystal, April, Anthony Jr., Issac, Carlos, Gabriella, Natalie, Daphne, Ronnie Jr., Michaela, Julicia, and Daniel, and great-grandchildren Graciella, Ezra, and Amias, Soul, Jayden, Zen, Truth, Izzabel, Jocelyn, Elijah, Sahrya, Ellie, Adrian, Lillyana, Joseph, TeeGun, Dayson, LuKacey, and Kai. Connie is also survived by many cousins nephews and her dear friend Tina Chacon.
She is preceded in death by her son Michael Lee Mendez, her mother Concha O. Duran, and her brothers Richard A. Duran, and James S. Duran and her father Jose Avedon Duran.
There will be a 2 hour viewing prior to services from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Services for Connie Duran Mendez will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary with a graveside service and reception to follow.Service Information
