A MOTHER PLANTS THE SEEDS OF LOVE THAT GROW AND BLOSSOM FOREVER
Our most precious and beautiful mother grew weary of her time here on earth and is now beginning her journey of Eternity. She now is with her mother and brother who she missed so very deeply. To her sister, Jerrie…your bond never broken and you were a blessing all her life.
The life she lived was strong with faith and love for her family and friends. Her zest for life was unmeasurable. Her love for adventure and new things never ending. She loved the outdoors, the smells, the sounds. The time she shared with her family and friends was her JOY and HAPPINESS.
Mom struggled with illness for several years. Though not many people knew her struggles as she didn’t want to burden or show weakness. She was the strongest and most selfless person.
Mom was born in Salt Lake City on September 10th,1945 to William and Pauline Dell. She attended West High School, which she was always proud to tell people. She continued on from high school to receive her license in nursing.
Mom married the love of her life, Rudy Garcia in 1966. They were married on November 7th in a beautiful little church located on the Air Force Base in Fort Campbell, Ky. Their love and dedication to each other is a true reflection of commitment and belief in the vows they shared 59 years ago.
They had a daughter and son that they loved beyond measure. We were mom’s “Greatest Pride and Joy”, her “Angel Babe” and “Fella”. We were the luckiest and most blessed children to have such a beautiful, loving, caring and giving mother. Mom, you will ALWAYS be in our hearts. WE LOVE YOU!
Along with raising her two children, mom devoted 42 years to the nursing profession. She began working at the U of U Hospital and in Fort Campbell, KY., but spent most of her time and dedication to the SL Clinic in Sandy. She later went on to provide care to people at the Senior Clinic in Murray. After her retirement, she continued to be an on-call nurse for her family and friends.
Mom was the biggest cheerleader to her kids, grandchildren and extended family. It was very important for her to show her love and support for their achievements and growth in all they did.
She was an inspiration to us all. A motivator to never give up on your dreams and to never let others bring you down. Her love of life infectious, she truly was the glue that kept us all together and connected.
Mom was a giver, always thinking of others before herself. Her dedication to her church and serving others was unending. Even when she was at her lowest, she always thought of others.
Mom held a special place in so many people’s hearts, but the bond of six special women will never be broken, “Sensational 7”. The love and memories shared with these women and their families are sealed in stone.
Your smile is brighter than the sun mom, the warmth of your love will always be felt. Plant a beautiful garden, continue to LIVE THE LIFE YOU LOVE. May you be pain free and at peace! We LOVE you!!
We want to thank all those that cared, supported and spent time with her in the days leading to her death. We thank all those that kept her in their thoughts and prayers, they were all received and felt. GOD BLESS!
Mom leaves behind her husband, Rudy, daughter Paula (Steve), son Rick (Cori), sister Jerrie, grandchildren Ashton (Jared), Lindsay (Christian), Emily (Nick), Ricky, great-grandchildren Zeke and Mila, nieces, nephews and countless family and friends.
