Cory Phillip Peterson

Cory Phillip Peterson passed away July 01, 2023, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Cory was a wonderful father, and proudly served his country in the United States Army in the short time he was in. He joined in 2018, where he attended and graduated from the Army’s Basic Combat Training at Ft. Jackson, South Carolina. He was assigned to PED BN, 116th Military Intelligence BGE, Fort Gordon, Augusta GA, 1st MULTI-DOMAIN TASK FORCE, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Tacoma WA, and then the 52nd Engineer BN, 2nd Stryker Bridge, Ft. Carson, Colorado Springs CO, where he earned the rank of Staff Sergeant. Cory was the youngest of four children, loved to play lacrosse and graduated from Riverton High School in Riverton, Utah in 2018.
He is survived by his son Levi Peterson; wife Sara Peterson; father Travis Peterson (Tina); sister Jade Peterson; and his brothers Cameron Peterson (Emmy),  Jake Peterson.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Ronilyn Peterson.
Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023, at 12 PM with visitation prior from 10:30 – 12:00 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church 8892 W State Hwy, Copperton, Utah 84006.
Graveside services will follow at South Jordan City Cemetery 10630 S 1055 W, South Jordan, Utah 84095.
