Cynthia Eve Evans, known to her loved ones as Cindy, passed away at IHC Hospital in Murray on February 7, 2024, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Born in Logan, UT on December 31, 1951, Cynthia's life was filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments.

Cindy was a proud graduate of Brigham Young University where she earned her Bachelor's degree. She then embarked on a fulfilling career as a school teacher, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of countless students. Through her dedication and passion for education, she helped shape young minds and fostered a love for learning in all those she taught.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Cindy's true joy came from the love and connection within her family. She was a deeply loving person who adored her children and grandchildren more than anything in the world. Her nurturing nature brought comfort and happiness to all who knew her.

One of the fondest memories shared by those closest to Cindy was the special times they spent playing card games and enjoying each other's company at family parties. Her infectious laughter could fill an entire room, creating an atmosphere of joy and warmth that will be remembered forever.

Aside from teaching and spending time with her loved ones, Cindy had a variety of hobbies and interests that brought her great pleasure. She loved knitting beautiful creations with meticulous care. An ice cold glass of Coke always seemed to find its place next to her as she delved into her favorite pastimes. Watching General Hospital every day at 2 p.m. became a treasured indulgence during quiet afternoons.

In the kitchen, Cindy sparkled as she cooked delicious meals and baked mouthwatering treats for family gatherings. Her culinary skills were renowned among those fortunate enough to savor the flavors she crafted with love.

Cindy leaves behind a legacy of love as she reunites with those who preceded her in death, including her beloved mother Teressa Preece Jackson, stepfather John Errett Jackson Sr., father Ralph Thornley, brother Larry Thornley, sister Diane Openshaw, sister-in-law Pat Thornley, brothers-in-law Veron Openshaw, brothers-in-law Eugene Anderson, brothers-in-law Max Meyers, and sister-in-law Bonnie Thornley.

Her memory will forever be cherished by her surviving family and friends, including her loving husband Gary Evans. Cindy's presence will be deeply missed by her brother Gary Thornley, sister Suszie Long and brother-in-law David Long, brother Doug Thornley, sister Teressa Whiting and brother-in-law Doug Whiting, Brother John Errett Jackson Jr. and siter-in-law Jan Jackson, sister-in-law Donna Anderson, and Sister-in-law Mildred Meyers.

Cindy's legacy extends to her children and their spouses: Brent and Catherine Evans, John Evans and Brenda Hanson, James Evans, Thomas Evans, Rebecca and Mark Allen, William and Brittany Evans. Her grandchildren Trevor Evans, Alex Evans, Wyatt Evans, Tyler Hanson, Hunter Hanson, Jacob Evans, Joshua Evans, Issac Evans, Alysa Evans, Lilly Allen, Caden Noerring, Alyssa Noerring, and Myles Noerring will forever carry memories of their doting grandmother in their hearts.

Cindy's proudest accomplishments revolved around raising her children and grandchildren. Her unwavering love provided them with a solid foundation on which to build their lives. The lessons she taught through example will continue to guide them as they navigate life's challenges.

As we mourn the loss of Cindy Evans from our lives, let us remember to celebrate the beautiful life she led. In our hearts and cherished memories, she will live on as a beacon of love and kindness. May she find eternal peace in the embrace of those who have gone before her.
