Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away peacefully at home with his family at his side.
Dale grew up in Magna and later moved to Salt Lake. He worked at Kennecott until he retired 25 years ago. He married Bettye Hunt 65 years ago and after 11 years of marriage they had their daughter, Kim. No father could have loved a child more.
Dale was an amazing craftsman; he was very generous with his time and helped many people build things, such as boats, campers, houses, gazebos etc... If you could imagine it, he could build it.
Golf was his passion, he would play every night after work and if he wasn't playing he was practicing. He won many tournaments, side bets and was a little bit of a sandbagger. He and Bettye had many happy memories and made great friends at the Copper Club Golf Course.
Dale was the youngest of 5 children and was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings. Dad, have fun at the family reunion!!
Dale is survived by his wife, Bettye Clifton, daughter Kim Gempeler, (Bob), grandchildren, Conner Gempeler and Ali Gempeler.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2011 from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at his daughter's house at 2026 E. Terra Linda Drive (4300 South).
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or Multiple Sclerosis Society.
