Dale Warren Talbot died peacefully on April 21, 2015 at the age of 84.
Dale is survived by his wife, Dorothy Covington Talbot; his children, Douglas Talbot, Dawn Talbot Southwick (Bret), Dennis Talbot (Lisa); his siblings Barbara Talbot Menlove, Bonny Talbot Bjornson (Rick), as well as his beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Dale was born on November 28, 1930 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Dan and DeLora Talbot. He married Dorothy Covington Talbot, his forever sweetheart in 1953. Soon after their marriage, the couple welcomed 3 children into their home and Dale set about teaching them the value of family, responsibility, and integrity. His children remember him as a driven and honorable father who encouraged them to pursue their goals.
Dale was an Army Veteran and loved his country. He was a hardworking individual who loved his family unconditionally and who was passionate about providing for his family. He was an active and dedicated member of the LDS Church and knew the importance of relying on the Lord.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, April 27, 2015 at the Winder 13th Ward, 4350 South 1100 East. Friends and family may visit on Sunday evening, April 26, 2015 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South, 2300 East and at the church on Monday from 9:30am to 10:30am prior to services. Instead of flowers please donate to the Alzheimer's Association via alz.org/donate.
