Dale Walter Tolton

Dale Walter Tolton, 71, passed away peacefully at his home in Holladay on June 14, 2009. He was born May 5, 1938 in Salt Lake City to Arvilla Joseph and Sterling Isadore Tolton. On March 30, 1972 he married Karin Arenth in Germany.

Dale is survived by his wife Karin; and children from previous marriages, Linda (Duane) Smith, Kevin (Emily) Tolton, Michelle (Greg) Lopez; 10 grandchildren; and brother, Reed (Nina) Tolton. Preceded in death by his son, Kelly Tolton, and his parents.

He was an exceptional supervisor of metrology for the Federal Government, supervising operations in various locations state side and overseas in Germany, Italy, Korea, and Turkey for over 30 years with numerous citations and awards for excellence. He also served honorably with the Utah National Guard.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Valley View 11th Ward, 1925 East 4101 South, Holladay, UT. According to Dale's wishes he will be cremated and his ashes scattered at a later date.
