In Loving Memory of Dalin Trey Gardner
With heavy hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of Dalin Trey Gardner, on July 3, 2026, at the age of 34.
Dalin was born on August 4, 1991, in Ogden, Utah, to his loving parents, Randale “Randy” and Diane Gardner. At an early age, Dalin had the unique ability to bring laughter, adventure, and sincere kindness to those who knew him.
Dalin had a passion for learning, creating, and living life to the fullest. He was a 2010 graduate of Syracuse High School where he made many lasting friendships, so much so that they became part of his own family. He earned his Eagle Scout, a reflection of his dedication, leadership, and character. Of the three sons Dalin “humbly” and frequently reminded his brothers he was the only one qualified to start fires. He loved culinary arts, was an enthusiastic gamer, and had a deep appreciation for music. Dalin was our world traveler, taking multiple international trips, and visited many different countries.
For 11 years, Dalin proudly worked at T-Mobile, where he built lasting friendships and earned the nickname “Wizard of Wireless.” Whether solving complicated technical issues or helping customers find exactly what they needed, Dalin was known for his knowledge, patience, and willingness to go above and beyond. His coworkers and customers appreciated not only his expertise but also his kindness and sense of humor.
More than any accomplishment, Dalin will be remembered as the “Fun Uncle”-always ready with a joke, a cannon ball off the diving board, or one of his unforgettable hugs. His nieces and nephews adore him, and his playful, loving spirit created memories they will cherish forever.
Though Dalin’s life was far too short, the impact he made will last a lifetime. Whether you knew him as a son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, coworker, or friend you knew someone who had a gift for making others feel seen, welcomed, and loved. His adventurous spirit, generous heart, infectious laughter, quick wit, and his BIG hugs created memories that will be forever remembered. Though our hearts ache in his absence, we find comfort knowing that he lives on in the stories we tell, the laughter he created, and the love he so freely gave. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Dalin is survived by his parents, Randy and Diane Gardner; his brothers, Dake (Kaitlyn) Gardner and Drew (Jerome) Gardner; his sisters, Nicale (Trent) Yarbrough and Skylee (Jake) Groeneveld; and his beloved nieces and nephews: “Big” Kaden, Raegan, Kennady, Kase, Greyson, Quinncy, Roman, Ellie, Kaden (Big Bandit), Olivia, Rylan, and Elodie, all of whom brought immense joy to his life.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dale and JoAnn Gardner and Douglas and Marilyn Stewart. As well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and a dear friend.
A public viewing will be held on Friday, July 10, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with a viewing prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. . All services will be held at the church building located at 2500 S Bluff Rd Syracuse Ut 84075.
Dalin’s family invites all who knew and loved him to join them in celebrating his life and the lasting impact he made on so many.
“Those we love don’t go away; they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near."
