Dallas Sharee Carter

September 12, 1997 — April 27, 2025

West Valley City, Utah

Dallas Sharee Carter, a beloved mother, wife, daughter and sister, passed away on April 27, 2025, in West Valley City, Utah, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on September 12, 1997, in Murray, Utah, she graced this world with her kindness, inspiring all who had the privilege to know her.

Her dedication to her family was unparalleled; as a stay-at-home mom, nothing brought her more joy than cherishing the moments spent with her beloved children, Boston and Kinglsey. Family was always her top priority, and her unwavering support and love will continue to resonate deeply within them. To know Dallas was indeed to love her–a description that rings true for anyone fortunate enough to cross her path. She possessed a rare spirit that infused light and joy into the lives of those around her. Her warmth and positivity never wavered, even in her toughest moments. Her creative passions included a profound love of reading and collecting beautiful books. An artist at heart, she manifested her creative flair through embroidery and cross-stitching, as well as an impressive talent for singing and dance. Her fondness for animals, particularly sloths, showcased her gentle spirit, as these creatures mirrored her kind-hearted nature.

Dallas leaves behind a loving family that will forever remember her grace and strength. She is survived by her loving husband Kyle Carter and their two beautiful and intelligent children, Boston and Kingsley. Her parents, Greg and Cris Childs, stand proud in remembrance of their daughter, as do her siblings, Melissa and Nate Carlson, Treena and Drew Garner, Payton and Johnnie Childs, and Parker Childs, all of whom carry her spirit within them. She also cherished her nine nieces and nephews, whose lives will forever be touched by her gentle guidance. The legacy of her love extends further to her grandfather, Willard Johnson, and grandparents Vern and Yvonne Childs and many countless other family and friends.

Dallas is preceded in death by her beloved grandmothers, Susan Johnson and Geraldine Childs, who surely welcomed her with open arms. Though her presence will be keenly missed, Dallas’s light will forever shine in the hearts of those she loved and touched. Her spirit will continue to inspire her family and friends to embody the kindness, compassion, and resilience she so beautifully demonstrated throughout her life. As we remember Dallas, let us hold onto the memories we shared, the lessons she imparted, and the boundless love she gave.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Intermountain Medical Center of Murray, Canyon Home Hospice and The Utah Cancer Center. Your compassionate care made a difference not only in her journey but in the hearts of those who loved her.
