Dan "Gary" Christensen

Jul 8, 1972 — Oct 2, 2021

Our loving, caring father, brother, best friend, passed away Saturday, October 2, 2021. He passed away peacefully in his sleep and was in no pain. He was born in Layton, UT. Raised in Layton and Escalante, UT. He enjoyed the outdoors but as he got older, he more enjoyed watching the animals rather than hunting them. He highly enjoyed letting the wind flow through his hair, when he was "letting the bang grow out" (haha) when riding his motorcycle. He loved golfing and playing Texas Hold 'Em even though it had been years since playing either. When not working he spent most of his spare time spending time with his loving wife JoAva and his littlest best friend and granddaughter, Averi. He had some really rough patches in his life almost 10 years ago, where he struggled with some very dark demons, he chose to cast those away when his daughter, Chevelle announced that she was going to be welcoming a wonderful little girl in this world, Averi. He will be missed by so many people here that it will be too long to list. We know he is now in loving hands spending time with his best friends Tim and Chris and know that they are going to take great care of him.

In lieu of flowers we are asking for donations to the cost of the funeral since this was so unexpected, we had no chance to save up for this cost. We have opened an account at Mountain America Credit Union that people can deposit to, the last name on the account is Anderson, account # 0012564789-0007.

He precedes his father Larry and mother Ruth. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, partner in crime JoAva Christensen, children Levi Christensen, Wade (Bubby) Christensen, Jade (Shaun) Anderson, Raynee (Keifer) Cowley, Chevelle Markovich, Jessica Christensen, Keegan Whitesides, Keagan Markovich, Granddaughters Averi Jensen, Lilly Christensen, sisters Jemini Blauser and Laura Lisonbee, brother John Godsey, father, Gary (Sharron) Blauser, and mother-in-law Sherry (John) Johnston. He had several nephews he felt were more like extra sons Dalton (Kris) Lisonbee and Casey (Katie) Litteral.
