Daniel Stuart Stenholm

Daniel (Dan) Stuart Stenholm was born on July 7, 1955, in Port Angeles, Washington. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Shirley Stenholm; and his siblings, Denise and Mark Stenholm.

Dan is lovingly remembered by his wife, Wendy Tonge Stenholm; his brother, Carl Stenholm; and his children: Jacob (Liz), Austin, and Sabrina Stenholm. He is also survived by his grandchildren, who brought great joy to his life. Dan is additionally remembered by his former wives, Wendy Cayias and Jane Stenholm, with whom he shared important chapters of his life.

Dan cared deeply for his own family as well as the family he gained through marriage, always thinking of his stepchildren and grandchildren as his own. He had a great sense of humor and passed peacefully with loved ones around him.

Dan was known for his big heart, warm presence, and great sense of humor. Affectionately called “Teddy” by some of his step-grandchildren, he had a gentle, supportive nature and a deep love for camping trips with his wife and grandchildren. Throughout his life, Dan grew into a steady, compassionate presence—someone who showed up for his children and the family he welcomed as his own. His journey was one marked by strength, kindness, and quiet devotion.

He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.
