Daniel Everett Weight

On Monday, November 4, 2019, Daniel Everett Weight, beloved son, passed away at his parent's home in Salt Lake City, Utah, at the age of 36.

Daniel was born on April 5, 1983 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He became the first son of his parents Dennis and Annette Weight. He grew up in a great neighborhood with his four siblings and lots of nearby children who enjoyed playing in the large side yard by his home. He attended the local elementary, junior high and high school.

From an early age he had a passion for computers. With help from his cousin Bryon Pinkston, he was able to build his first computer at age 16. He continued gaining knowledge about computer technology and began to build computers for himself, friends and his dads associates. His main hobby was playing video games. He became an expert in the ability to heal other team members in the various games of video combat. There were many players on the internet who sought him out to run difficult scenarios with them because of his expertise.

For 13 years he worked for Intercontinental Hotel Group in many key positions both in South Carolina and at Salt Lake City IHG headquarters. In the latter years of his employment, he taught many of the newer employees how to deal with difficult clients.

Daniel is survived by an older brother Stephen Weight, his wife Giovanna; sister, Laurie, husband David Lake; sister Jennifer, husband James Zmuda; and nephew Mason Zmuda, sister Julianna Weight, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

We are indebted to our nurses Joan and Joelle for their excellent care and love for us and our son. We couldn't have made it through without them.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday November 9, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Stratford East Ward (2635 South 1500 East) on the corner of Stratford Ave. and 1500 East in Salt Lake City, Utah. Where friends and family can visit 9:30 to 10:30 am prior to the service.

Interment will take place on Sunday, November 10, 2019 at 2:30 pm at Wasatch Lawn Cemetery (1750 East 3300 South), Rosemont area, at the far East end of the cemetery.
