Darld Henry Marshall, a cherished and vibrant soul, was born on July 9, 1935, in Driggs, Idaho. He joyfully entered the next chapter of his life on November 1, 2025, in West Jordan, Utah, leaving behind a legacy that will forever resonate in the hearts of his loved ones.
As a self-made man, Darld dedicated himself to both his career and his family. He served as a business manager for the Union and went on to successfully establish his own management business and farm. His professional accomplishments were matched only by his deep commitment to family, which he treasured above all else.
A man of many passions, Darld lived life to the fullest, constantly seeking adventure and the great outdoors. He found immense joy in fishing, hunting, traveling, and camping, always eager to share these moments with family and friends. With a personality that could light up any room, it was said that grass never grew under his feet—a testament to his zest for life and the experiences he cherished.
Among his proudest accomplishments was fulfilling his dream of becoming a pilot, owning his own plane, and experiencing the freedom of flight. Yet, the title that filled him with the most pride was that of father and grandfather. The bonds he shared with his family were not only a cornerstone of his life but the very fabric of his joy. He is survived by his beloved son, David H. Marshall; his devoted daughter-in-law, Pam Marshall; his daughter, Sherrol Sloan; his son-in-law, Robert Sloan; and his other daughter-in-law, Debbie Marshall, as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great-great-grandchildren who will carry forth his spirit.
Darld also leaves behind the memories of those who preceded him into eternity, including his father, Henry J. Marshall; his mother, Mildred Marshall; his brother, Bryon Marshall; and two of his beloved children, Rick Marshall and Diane A. Mower, along with his grandsons, Travis R. Sloan and Jordan Baker.
A viewing to honor Darld's remarkable life is scheduled for November 14, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery in West Jordan, Utah.
