1944 Darlene Dipo 2025

Darlene Dipo

February 7, 1944 — November 28, 2025

When Darlene stepped into a room, her smile made everyone feel welcome - a quality that defined both her personal life and her remarkable career as a realtor. Born in Ogden, Utah, Darlene discovered early on that her true gift was connecting with people. She passed away on November 28, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, perseverance, and professional success.

For over 50 years, Darlene helped people find more than houses; she helped them find their home. Her clients trusted her not only for her deep market knowledge but for her ability to listen, to advocate, and to celebrate each milestone alongside them. She guided first-time buyers with patience, supported growing families, and comforted those going through transition or loss. Her business was built on relationships - many of which grew into lifelong friendships. Over the years, she earned numerous awards, served as a mentor to new agents, and became a trusted name in her community.

Darlene approached her life the same way she approached her work - with heart. She loved traveling. Having traveled to almost every continent, she was always up for last-minute adventures with family and friends. Those who knew her will remember her laughter, her courage, and her gift for making people feel seen and valued.

She was a fighter, through and through. She overcame adversity time and time again, facing a life-changing brain aneurysm at the age of 40, followed by a stroke, a broken hip, back surgeries, a heart attack, and ultimately the breast cancer that she battled valiantly for eight long years. She proved that courage isn’t the absence of hardship - it’s the strength to rise again and again, no matter how heavy the burden.

Her resilience became her signature. Even in her most difficult moments, she showed grace, determination, and a spirit that inspired everyone around her. She refused to let illness define her, choosing instead to live each day with gratitude, humor, and the same unwavering commitment she brought to every part of her life.

She is survived by the love of her life, Tom Dipo with whom she spent 66 wonderful, loving years. Her son Scott, and daughters Julene (Kerry), Debbie (Bret) and Vicki. She is also survived by the legacy she built with Tom, her 18 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchild. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her warmth and generosity will live on in every life she touched.

A private, intimate celebration of life will be held by invitation only.
