Darlene Ellen Jane Simmons

Darlene Ellen Jane Landh Simmons returned home on July 5, 2013 surrounded by her family. Darlene was born June 20, 1931 in Sandy, UT, a first generation American born to parents who came to the United States as adults from their homeland of Sweden.

Darlene graduated for Granite High School in 1949 and studied at LDS Business College shortly after.

Darlene loved to quote Swedish proverbs, in Swedish, from her mother Elin. The most memorable being "It is better to be breadless, than brainless". A trait she taught her children to live by.
