Darlene Trissie Halvorsen Lovato, age 79, died November 2, 2018 in Salt Lake City, UT. She was born on August 24, 1939 in Murray, UT to Edna Mary Foster Jacobson and Joseph Leond Halvorsen. She was married to Joseph Richard Lovato on March 31, 1956. Darlene was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints attending the Temple View Branch. She has served many years as a teacher, Relief Society President, Stake leader and other positions.  She was employed in management positions for property investments. She attended Salt Lake Community College. She enjoyed writing and had some works published. She was very proficient in decorating and design. She has a beautiful love of nature and all creations were very dear to her. She is survived by her brother, Jack L. Halvorsen; sister, Donna J. Halvorsen; daughters, Lori Lovato and Lisa Dowling; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and loving companion, Ron Ockey. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Ronald Halvorsen and sisters Lois and Lorraine Halvorsen and RaNae Adamson.  Funeral Services will be held on Friday November 9, 2018 at Lakeview Memorial Chapel, 1640 Lakeview Drive, Bountiful, UT. Viewing at 10:00 a.m. and services for family at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Ogden City Cemetery, 1875 Monroe Blvd., Ogden, UT.
