David Hans Frohlich

July 18, 1985 — September 20, 2014

David Hans Frohlich, son of Hans and Lyn Frohlich, was born July 18, 1985, in Salt Lake City, and passed away September 20, 2014, at the age of 29.

David graduated from Olympus High School, and since then some of his jobs have included "sandwich artist," pizza maker, gardener, headstone maker, parking enforcement officer, and most recently, working in his brother-in-law's medical clinic.

David was best known for his amazing sense of humor, quick wit, artistic and creative talents, and his generosity and loyalty to his friends. He was interested in many subjects and was well-read; he would have loved to solve some of the world's great mysteries. David loved animals, books, collecting "stuff," skate-and snowboarding, and playing video games.

David was a tenderhearted soul who loved his family and we all loved him. He struggled for years with physical and emotional pain, both of which made daily life difficult for him. As a family we always tried to give him encouragement and support. We loved him so much.

David is survived by his parents, currently residing in Freiberg, Germany; his siblings, Jonathan, JoLyn Carter (David), Hilary Pulley (Steven), Anthony (Kristin), and Melynda. His uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews also mourn his loss. Preceded in death by his grandparents, Milton and Ruth Widdison and Ida Denz. David, you are loved, and we miss you.

A memorial service to honor David's life will be held Saturday, September 27, 2014, at 11 a.m., with a visitation prior to the service beginning at 9:30 a.m. The visitation and service will be held at Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, Salt Lake City, Utah. We wish to express gratitude and love for all the kind words and acts of compassion shown to our family at this difficult time.
