David Donald Larsen passed away peacefully at home on May 27, 2015 after a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer. He was born on July 14, 1956 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Glee Bowen and Donald Le Roy Larsen. He married his Sweetheart Deborah Taylor on December 30, 1976 in the Salt Lake Temple.
He attended Granite High School and worked for 23 years at the phone company (Mountain Bell, US West, and Quest). He would often work second jobs at various places in order to provide for his family. He was a great example of working hard and showed us all how to do our best.
He was an avid Green Bay Packers and Neil Diamond Fan. He played guitar, sang, loved reading, building models of cars, planes, tanks, etc., he enjoyed spending time with family, loved being a grandpa, liked playing sports; particularly softball and basketball, and he enjoyed coaching his sons.
He served in many callings of the LDS church and enjoyed studying the teachings of the gospel. He served an LDS mission in the central California area.
Dave is survived by his wife, Debbie; children, Stephanie (Matt) Wiker, Eric (Tina) Larsen, Jenny (Judd) Seifert, Casey (Molly) Larsen; parents, Don and Glee Larsen; brothers, Rick (Melissa) Larsen, Chad (Annisa) Larsen; and 8 grandsons.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 1, 2015 at 11:00am at the Alta View Stake Center, 1850 E 8600 S, Sandy, UT; where friends and family can visit 9:30-10:30am prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to one of the following charities, www.upwsa.org or www.autismcouncilofutah.org
