David Norman Muecke, loving father and papa, left this world on April 5, 2026.  He was born on December 28, 1952 to Karl P. Muecke and Elsa Frank in Salt Lake City, Utah and was 73 years old.  David was the only child of 3 in his family born in the United States so it was only fitting that he served his mission for the LDS church in Germany, where his parents and 2 older siblings were from. David was always looking for ways to help others and tell their stories.  He felt that by telling those stories he could help those that heard them.  He loved creating and connecting on media platforms.  In his younger years he went to medical school.  He wasn't able to finish but never stopped learning about it through independent studies.  Overall, he was a true entrepreneur and used his creative marketing skills to attempt many startup companies.  His best accomplishment though, was his children and grandchildren.  He loved them all so much and was always happiest when spending time with them.

David is survived by his children Alisyn (Ryan) Roth, Erica (Kurt) Hoffman, Amy (Juan) Munoz, Abbie Muecke, Mia Muecke, Max Muecke and his 10 beautiful grandchildren.  We love him so much and will miss him and his dad jokes greatly.  He was preceded in death by his parents Karl and Elsa Muecke, his step-mother Gertrude Schieving and his older brother and sister, Claus Dieter Muecke and Marion Elfriede Muecke Jensen. It comforts us to know that he has been reunited with his parents and siblings in heaven.  

Funeral services will be held on Saturday April 18, 2026 at 11:00 am - 12:00 pm (mountain time) at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery located at 6500 S Redwood Rd, West Jordan, UT 84123.  Prior to the service, a short viewing will be held at the same location from 10:00 - 10:45 am (mountain time). A  graveside dedication will take place at 12:30 pm (mountain time) also at the same location.
