Dean Earl Wilson

June 1, 1922 — July 3, 2023

Dean Earl Wilson was born June 1st 1922, in Preston, Idaho to Bertha Chadwick and Wallace Wilson. He was the 5th child in a family of eight.
Just before his 19th birthday on May 27, 1941, Dean enlisted in the military. He attended coding and radio schools in the US and Australia and served in the Pacific Theater during WWII. He was honorably discharged on October 22, 1945.
On May 31st 1946, Dean married Darlene Sonja Wendrich. They went on to have six children together. After Dean graduated from the University of Utah, they had the opportunity to move to various states with Motorola including Utah, Wyoming, Idaho and California. During their time in California, Dean went on to start his own business called USE Corp.
Dad always said when he was working he moved the family around, so when he retired mom got to choose where they lived. They moved to Cedar Hills, Utah and lived there until mom passed in February of 2006.
After the passing of Darlene, Dean lived in Texas and then Arizona, where he met and married Emma Jean Singley. Emma Jean passed in April of 2022. At the time of Dean’s passing he resided in South Carolina.
Dean was also preceded in death by three grandsons and one great grandson.
He is survived by his sister Blanch Blackburn, his six children: Linda Plott (Eagle, Idaho), Bryan Wilson (Juneau, Alaska), Kim Wilson (Vancouver, Washington), Kent Wilson (Lantana, Texas), Kevin Wilson (Simpsonville, South Carolina), and Brenda Bonura (Leonard, Texas). At the time of his passing; Dean had 22 living grandchildren, 59 great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.
Dean Earl Wilson was a beloved brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great great grandfather. His family holds his memory dear and expresses their love for him.
A graveside service will be on Monday, July 17, 2023 at 10:00 am at Lakeview Memorial, 1640 South Lakeview Drive, Bountiful.
