F. Deann Coble
1941–2026
Deann was born in a small town in Oregon and spent her younger years living in Washington. Eventually, her family moved to Idaho, where she met her sweetheart, Duane Coble. They married, and after the birth of their first child, moved to Utah. Their family grew to include two more children, and after retiring, Deann and Duane moved to Sandy.
Deann was a stay-at-home mom while her children were young, later holding various jobs as they grew. Her final employer was Western Airlines, which later became Delta Airlines. This gave her the opportunity to travel with her sweetheart on many adventures. She retired in 1998.
Never afraid to try something new, Deann had a remarkable ability to master just about anything she set her mind to. She loved to sing so much that she taught herself to play the guitar. She and her singing partner formed a duo called Potpourri, performing professionally for several years. Her creativity extended well beyond music. She loved gardening and canning, tole painting, and creating dried floral arrangements. She even taught herself how to use a computer.
Throughout her life, Deann's humor, beautiful smile, and love for children shone through. Her life was defined by her love for God, her independence, and her passion for creating a warm, vibrant home. She approached everything with determination and grace, and her fierce love for her family never wavered. Of all the roles she filled, her favorite was always being a mother and grandmother. She made sure every child and grandchild knew how deeply they were loved and cherished.
Deann passed away peacefully, leaving behind a lasting legacy of determination, creativity, good food, laughter, and an abundance of love.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister; her granddaughters, Natasha and Britt Robison; and Britt's life partner, Derek Monson.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 68 years, Duane Coble; her three children, Terry (Jackie), Kristy (Wayne), and Stacy (Russell); 12 cherished grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 S. Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84084. There will be a graveside service.
