Debara Arlene Gruhot, Age 57, passed away unexpectedly January 8, 2024 from complications of an illness. She was born February 18,1966 In Murray, Utah to Veldon Lauder (Susan step mother) and Carol Fuller (Ken step father).
Debara was born a miracle weighing 3.15 lbs with an identical twin sister Tamara Zamora they have one younger brother Robert Lauder and a Step Sister Cindy Rios and she loved them all dearly. She was born and raised in SLC, Utah and graduated from Taylorsville High School in 1984 and was an outstanding senior in her class.
Debara Later on met and married Louis Gruhot on February 14, 1987 and still remain best of friends. She is survived by her two children Anthony and Stephanie Gruhot. She also had a step daughter from Louis, Melissa Gruhot who has also passed. She loved her children and was very proud of them. They were her everything. Debara also has a son in law Byron Pena who she really adored and he recently married Stephanie. Mom was beyond excited for them and their wedding.
Debara has 7 grandchildren Julie, Elexis, Aaliyah, Abigail, Addison, Alex and Mia. She was the best grandma ever and we mean EVER! She loved her grandkids endlessly. She would do anything for them. Every birthday, every holiday, every event just anything that involved her grandkids she was there.
There are so many others she loved dearly all her nephews, nieces and all of their children. Debara had a heart of gold that would do anything for anyone. She would never sit still or relax even when she was not feeling well she would still want to help.
Mom would give the shirt off her back. She loved to help plan every party and event, she was also the life of the party. Her smile and laugh would make you feel the warmth of her heart. She was very spontaneous and loved to be a part of everything.
Debara was a teacher at Bacchus Elementary where she got to be with Addison, her granddaughter and all the other children who loved “Ms. Debbie”. She left such a big impact on everyone her legacy will live on forever. She meant the world to us and will be missed by so many.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday January 20th, 2024 at Memorial Redwood on 6500 S. Redwood RD, West Jordan UT, 84084.
The viewing will be held from 9 A.M-11 A.M the service to follow at 11 A.M.
