Deborah Lee Houck, age 63, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2025, in Taylorsville, Utah. She was born to Michael Lee Neuman and Verla Janice Coleman in Huntsville, Alabama (Redstone Arsenal).
On December 16, 1980, Deborah married the love of her life, Laddie Vincet Houck. Together, they built a beautiful life centered around love, family, and adventure. Deborah's greatest joy was her family—she was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud “Amo” (grandma) to her ten grandchildren, whom she adored and loved to spoil.
Deborah’s adventurous spirit led her to accomplish a lifelong goal of hiking the Grand Canyon from rim to rim—a personal achievement she cherished. After retirement, she and Laddie spent cherished time traveling together, continuing a lifelong love of camping and taking memorable family trips with their children and grandchildren.
She also had a creative and quiet side. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, cross-stitching, and, most recently, diamond art. She created many beautiful pieces that brought her great pride and joy.
Deborah is survived by her husband of 45 years, Laddie V. Houck; her children, Stephanie L. Laser (Paul) and Kevin M. Houck (Kaylee); ten beloved grandchildren; one sister; and two brothers. She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Heather Lynn Best.
