Deidre K Martin of Salt Lake City, Ut and of Sioux Falls, SD passed away at home on March 23, 2023.
Deidre or Dee as she was known by her family & friends was born on October 31, 1944 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Dee resided in Salt Lake City, where she met the love of her life Charles N Martin (Chuck) in 1965. They married and had a long and loving marriage of 53 years and had five children.
Dee was a Deli Manager for several years and loved working in the food industry, but her greatest passion was making wedding and birthday cakes for her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Dee is survived by her children, daughter Schellie, husband Terry, daughter Leslie, husband Jon, daughter Cassie, husband Gene, son Chuck, wife Cindy, son George and longtime girlfriend Kelly. Honorable mention Julie Symes Thatcher and John Thomson, grandchildren T.C and Ana, Vivian and Derek, Adam, Ryan, Chiellcie and Zack, Mystee and Dan, Geknee and Himzo, Mary and Kaden, Max and Morgan, great-grandchildren Skylair, Noah, Dallas, Timmy, Thyana, Neno, William, Bart, Julia, Carson, Ezzie, Kaz, Ivory and Quenton, brother David, sisters Becky and Joanne. She was preceded in death by her greatest love Charles N Martin, parents John and Vivian Peterson, brothers Ted and Mike, sister Marie, granddaughter Schelleana.
Funeral services will be held March 30, 2023 at 11:00 am with a viewing one-hour prior at 10:00 am at Memorial Murray Mortuary 5850 South 900 East, Murray, Utah 84121. Burial will follow the funeral at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123.
