Delores Garcia Dominguez

September 4, 1960 — January 1, 2025

Delores “Garcia” Dominguez 1960-2025 passed away on January 1, 2025, unexpectedly. She was born on September 4, 1960, in Salt Lake City and grew up in the heart of the Glendale neighborhood to Raymond and Virginia Garcia. She was the youngest of five children and graduated from South High School and continued to obtain her Child Development associate’s degree. She married Juan Dominguez on December 21, 2003, and became a mother to six additional children to the one she already had.

In her lifetime she held many managerial roles and wore many hats. She left the workforce years ago due to Illness. Delores loved her getaways from regular duties, she loved playing Roulette when she could gamble and playing pool while jamming out to her love of old-school music. She was a caring, generous, loving person who never turned anyone away. She was a rock for many people from many walks of life. She was a mother and grandmother who was always there when we needed her the most. She showed up for us when no one else could, leaving her legacy of generosity, love, and compassion and her infectious smile.

Delores is survived by her husband Juan and her seven children; Mercedes (Esteban) Gutierrez, Jessica (Osvaldo) Castillo, Steven, Carlos, Ezequiel “Zeek”, Elizabeth and Britney, 13 grandchildren; Ramona (Fernando), Jesus (Megan), Esteban Jr. (Abbee), Abby, Isaiah, Rey Rey, Nathaniel, Aleyah, Leo, Elias, Ozzie, Mateo, Amilla: two great-grandchildren, Iyanna and Giselle and one on the way. Delores only had one surviving sister Anna (Lance) Reyes as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Delores also had lifelong friends Emelda Trujillo, Sandra Rea, and Becky Martinez, and a cousin Todd Julio who was her sister and brother at heart. She also had a special bond with her nephew Anthony Garcia and Odie Trujillo as well as her cousins she grew up with.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Vivian, and two brothers Patrick and Michael.
