Denise “Kitty” Spencer

Our beloved Mother Denise Spencer returned to her heavenly home at the age of 70, on February 1st, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was born to George Owen Spencer and Ellen Martha Beyler Spencer on March 18th, 1955, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Our sweet Mom had many loves in her life. Having all gently teased at the number of times she was married, she will forever be known for her genuine love of all people. Ultimately, her children and her family were the true loves of her life.

Mom had many talents and achievements in her life.

She had a deep love of animals. Cindy, a beautiful cream-colored appaloosa, was her first beloved horse. She had horses throughout her life she loved riding and as a young teenager, she was a Barrel Racing Champion. She truly loved all animals and advocated for them all the time.

She was a very gifted writer. She wrote personal poems to all her children and close family, expressing her love with beautiful words. Her poetry touched many lives.

She loved yummy food and was known for her extraordinary baking skills. Her cinnamon rolls were family famous and always requested at holidays and special gatherings.

She served as a Certified Nurses Aid most of her career, caring for her patients and residents as she would with her own family.

She has endless love for her church and has served many callings. She showed love and compassion for all and was one of the most loving people. As her children, we never saw our mom hold a grudge. She let people be who they were, loving them despite any shortcomings. She just saw the best in others and forgave easily.

Denise is survived by her greatest joy, her family, her children and grandchildren-

Launa (Craig) Christiansen: Brig Pollock, Joseph Christiansen, Emmalee Pollock, Millie Christiansen, Andy Christiansen, and Lincoln Christiansen.

Deitra Calkins: Brooke (Zach) Jensen, Aubrey White, and Bobby White.

Norman (Lisa) Robinson: Ashley (Casey) Zinz, Amber Bruderer, Brayden (Olivea) Bruderer, Olivia Robinson, Rylee Robinson, Paislee “Denise” Robinson, Spencer Robinson, Taylor Robinson, Brooke Robinson, and Riley Robinson.

10 beautiful great grandchildren.

Funeral Services to honor and celebrate Denise will be held at her LDS Church House, 7337 South Grizzly Way, West Jordan, UT 84084 on Saturday February 21st at 11 am. We welcome all who attend to wear her favorite color yellow, to bring the cheer that she brought to our lives. A luncheon will follow for all close family and friends. We will gather for her graveside service later this spring.
