Diana Sadeghian

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Diana Sadeghian on August 6, 2026. Born on October 9, 1958, in Boroujen, Iran, Diana was a beloved by everyone in her life. Her sudden departure has left a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Diana was a devoted wife to Behrouz Farhang and a nurturing mother and grandmother to her three children (Arezoo, Arash, Niloofar) and four grandsons (Alex, Iden, Ashkahn, Bobak). As a true matriarch, Diana found great fulfillment in caring for her family and beyond, always ensuring her home was a warm and welcoming haven for all who entered. 

Her compassionate nature was present from a young age. In Iran she earned a degree in family medicine and was a practicing doctor but sacrificed that career for a better life for her family by leaving Iran after the revolution. Once her children grew older she worked hard to pass board exams to be able to practice medicine in the United States but there were more obstacles in achieving this than expected. The silver lining in this was that she was able to heavily devote her time and energy to her grandchildren as they came, and was able to play a unique role in being a primary caretaker for them. This created a special bond to her grandsons, all of which adored her. 

Outside of nurturing her family Diana had a passion for gardening and took delight in nurturing her garden and was always praised by those who came across it. She also created many beautiful memories traveling with her husband to conferences all around the world in addition to memorable trips with family to Iran over the summers where her children created many core memories with her siblings and mother.

She is preceded in death by her father (Nematollah). She is survived by her mother (Manijeh), Siblings (Soheila, Mojegan, Mohammad, Koroush, Elham), husband (Behrouz), her children (Arezoo, Arash, Niloofar), and her four grandsons (Alex, Iden, Ashkahn, Bobak).

As we remember Diana, we celebrate a life that was beautifully lived, full of love, laughter, and dedication. Diana will be dearly missed, but her light will continue to shine through the lives of those she touched. May her soul rest in peace.

A service will be held on Friday August 14th , 4:30 pm at Memorial Mountain View Mortuary & Cemeterys 3115 Bengal Blvd, Cottonwood Heights.
