Diane Byrd

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Cecile "Diane" Byrd, age 87, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and dear friend. Diane peacefully transitioned into the hands of the Lord on October 27, 2026.

Though we mourn her absence, we find solace in knowing she is reunited with her beloved husband, Nathan "Rocky" Byrd, and other cherished family and friends in Heaven.

Diane had a deep love for nature, enjoying camping and fishing. She cherished her weekend outings with her daughter Brenda, and had a lifelong admiration for Elvis Presley, proudly displaying his portrait in her home. Dancing brought her joy, especially when performing "The Twist."

A devoted mother to Brenda Keller, Steve Byrd, and Michael Byrd, Diane's life revolved around her family. Her unconditional love and warm spirit left an indelible mark on everyone she knew, fostering laughter and peace. Her legacy of love, strength, and generosity lives on in her family. Diane touched the lives of everyone who had the honor of knowing her. Her selflessness, warmth, and generous spirit will be remembered forever.

Her greatest legacy of all is the family she loved so dearly. She is survived by her children Brenda (Kim), Steve, and Mike (Syreda); five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and her brothers Terry and Ted.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 2, 2026, at 11 AM, at Memorial Lake Hills Mortuary and interment following services at Memorial Lake Hills Cemetery.
