Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and “great-gramma” Diane Cordner
Limberg passed away at home on July 11, 2022 at the age of 84. Diane
Cordner was born June 21, 1938, with her twin brother, Dean. Diane was
the youngest of 7 children born to Jesse and Jen Cordner in Orem, Utah.
Their homestead was a cherry farm and is the site of present-day Orem
High School. Diane graduated from Lincoln High School, then married
Marvin Ross (later divorced). She had 3 wonderful sons: David, Robert,
and Mark. Diane was heart broken when Robby was killed in a car accident
at age 3. In 1976, Diane married Larry Limberg. She spent most of her
career working for Borg B. Andersen Photo Digital Inc. as a food stylist
and in other positions. Diane loved traveling, art, bright colors, the
southwest desert, shopping, decorating her home, and spending time with
friends. She and Larry enjoyed traveling together to places like Mexico
and Japan. They had fun watching U of U games, Jazz games, and hanging
out with friends from the Goofballs Bowling League. Diane’s proudest
accomplishment was her family and she loved her children, grandchildren
and great grandchildren.
In 2005, Diane was struck with transverse myelitis, and lost the use of
her legs. With much physical therapy, she was able to use a walker, but
relied on her trusty scooter to get around. She endured it well for 17
years, with Larry as her devoted caregiver. During the last 9 months,
Diane’s health declined until her passing at home on July 11th,
surrounded by loved ones.
Diane is survived by her husband, Larry Limberg, and her brother Dean
Cordner. Others include sons, David Ross and Mark Ross, along with
step-daughter Kay Vigue. She had 10 grandchildren: Curtis, Natalie,
Ashley, Casey, Te’a, Rachel, Rebecca, Andy, Tyler, and Melanie. She was
also blessed with 37 great-grandchildren. The family would like to
express our deepest appreciation to Canyons Hospice for their dedicated
care, especially Ruth, Heather, and Dani. Services will be Thursday,
July 21st. Viewing from 9-10:30 am and funeral service at 11:00 am at
