Diane Limb

Our dear wife and mother, Diane Spencer Limb, took her place among the angels early Sunday morning, September 20, 2026.

She was born July 2, 1955, to Merlin and Delores Spencer of Bluffdale, Utah. She graduated from Bingham High School in 1973. She met her sweetheart James Robert Limb through a mutual friend, and they were sealed for eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on June 18, 1976. They made their home in West Jordan, Utah, and together raised three children and taught them in principle and by example to live the gospel of Jesus Christ. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary earlier this year.

Throughout her time as a mother, she worked at Beehive Clothing, at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, and in the Jordan River Temple cafeteria. She used her talents of sewing, baking, and crafting to bless the lives of others through her work and service. She enjoyed sharing her talents with her children and grandchildren.

Diane was a faithful disciple of Jesus Christ, and served in many callings throughout her life, including Relief Society President and Young Women President. She and her husband served as service missionaries on Temple Square for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. They also served for a time at West Ridge Academy, and loved the youth they helped there.

Diane enjoyed many hobbies, including cross-stitching, quilting, and making cute birthday cakes for her grandkids. She sewed countless doll clothes and pajamas for her grandchildren, and loved gifting them with handmade creations. She loved spending summer vacations at Bear Lake with her family, celebrating birthdays and holidays with backyard barbecues, and spending time in nature with her husband. She was a humble and thoughtful lady, who reminded her children often to “remember who you are.” She showed faith, love and devotion to her family through countless acts of service and goodness.

Although she tried, she could never overcome her addiction to hot chocolate.

Diane is preceded in death by her parents, Merlin and Delores Spencer, and her 3 brothers, Dell, Michael, and Robert Spencer. She is survived by her beloved husband, James Robert Limb, her three children, Peggy Griffin (Chris), Melissa Eichelberger (Bart), and Jeffrey Limb (Destiny), her sister Jackie, her 9 darling grandchildren (Macy, Emma, Audrey, Lily, Kaden, Tyler, Porter, Austin and Amelia), and one great-granddaughter soon to come.

Diane’s family was her most treasured joy, and we are grateful to have loved and be loved by our dear “Lady Di.” We have faith in the atonement and resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ, and the covenants that bind us as an eternal family. We look forward to the day we will be together again.

A viewing will be held on Friday, September 25, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints , 6695 S. 2200 W. in West Jordan, Utah. Funeral services will be held in the same location on Saturday, September 26, at 11:00 am. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 9:30-10:30 am. Interment to follow at Memorial Redwood Cemetery. 6500 S. Redwood Road, West Jordan.
