Donald Dwight Evans, age 57, died on May 1, 2026, at his home in West Jordan, UT. Don “Donny” was born on February 19, 1969, to Donald Ray and Dorothy Roberta “Bobbie” Evans in Casper, Wyoming.
Growing up, Donny loved to be outside riding his bike at the dips and building forts with his friends. In high school, he enjoyed running cross country track and riding his bike long distances. In 1987, he graduated from Campbell County High School. He was an avid sports fan, often quizzing his sisters on sports trivia. His favorite sport was football, and he was a devoted, longtime fan of the Denver Broncos.
Don was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and after attending Ricks College for a year, he chose to serve the Lord in the Toledo, Ohio, mission field. After his mission, Donny moved to Utah where he met and married Julie Vernice ____ on December 20, 1991. He became a stepfather to Steven, and they later grew their family by welcoming Nicholas and Lilly. Don was a dedicated father, loved his children, and would do anything for them.
Don is survived by his son Nicholas, daughter Lilly, stepson Steven (Chelsey) Schulte and their children Maiya, Matix, and Maisie; sisters Teresa Evans and Tanya (Peter) Bryan. Don is preceded in death by his wife, Julie Vernice Evans, his son Derek Donald Evans, and his parents, Donald Ray and Dorothy Roberta “Bobbie” Evans.
There will be a private, family viewing followed by cremation. A memorial service will also be held with details forthcoming.
