Donald Gail Egbert

April 17, 1964 — April 16, 2024

Donald Gail Egbert, beloved son, brother, father, and friend, embarked on his final journey to reunite with his loving parents and siblings on Tuesday, April 16, 2024. Born on April 17, 1964, to Gail Donald Egbert and Myrtle LaWen Allsop Egbert, Don's life was a testament to passion, talent, and kindness.

Raised amidst the serene landscapes of Salt Lake City, Utah, Don found solace and joy in the embrace of nature. His love for the great outdoors was palpable as he embarked on countless adventures in his youth, indulging in camping, hunting, fishing, and four-wheeling. However, it was his profound love for music that truly defined him.

Don possessed a remarkable gift, an innate ability to weave melodies and harmonies effortlessly, without the need for sheet music. Music was not just a pastime for Don; it was his soul's expression, his sanctuary of creativity and emotion.

For nearly three decades, Don dedicated himself to Cottonwood Millwork + Cabinets, where he found fulfillment in his work and cherished the camaraderie of his colleagues. His dedication and gratitude towards his workplace reflected the depth of his character and the values he held dear.

In the quietude of his passing, Don was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Gail and LaWen Egbert, and his cherished siblings, Christine, Lynette, and Michelle. He leaves behind a legacy of love and memories cherished by his daughter, Alisa Wood Ebert (Jeff), and his sister, Deborah Egbert and many friends and family.

A final farewell will be offered at a casual graveside service on Friday, April 26, 2024, at 3:00 pm, at Memorial Mountain View Cemetery, 3115 East 7800 South, where family, friends, and acquaintances will gather to honor, remember, and celebrate the life of Don. A private family farewell will be held at a later time.

As we bid farewell to a man whose melody will echo in our hearts forever, may we find solace in the memories he gifted us and the legacy of love he leaves behind. Rest in peace, Don, knowing your spirit will forever resonate in the harmony of our lives.
