Donald Webster Foster

Donald Webster Foster, 74 passed away on October 29, 2023, at home in Midvale, Utah. He was born September 13, 1949, in Joplin, Mo. to Ross and Jon Sayre Foster. After beginning grade school in Joplin, his family moved to Miami, OK, where he attended Wilson elementary and later graduated from Miami High School in the Wardog Class of 1967. He loved to play tennis, baseball, basketball and was in the MHS Band. He was the middle of five boys.

Following high school Don married Virginia Stover and had three wonderful children, Lesley Whitewater (Barry) of Coppell, TX, Brian Foster (Jennifer) of Tulsa, OK, and Kimberly Harmon (Greg) of Tulsa, OK. After beginning college at NEO in Miami, he completed his business degree at the University of Oklahoma in Norma, OK.

Don spent his adult life in the furniture business starting out in retail sales while still in college in OU. He moved into store management and eventually became a manufacturer's rep for several furniture lines including Alan White and Furniture International in OK, AR, TX, UT, ID, and CO.

After moving to Utah in 2000, he married Fran Miller whom he met in Tupelo, MS during the Tupelo Furniture Market.

He is preceded in death by his father, mother and eldest brother Dennis. He leaves behind his wife, Fran of 23 years, three brothers, David Foster of Miami, OK, Bob Foster (Linda) of Moore, OK, and Paul Foster (Carrie) of Norman, OK, his three children and five grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Memorial Mortuary in Murray at 5850 South 900 East from 10 to 12 on Saturday, November 4th. A private celebration will follow at 6 pm for the family and friends at the Fairmeadows Condominium's Club House.
