Donna Elizabeth Mitchell

Donna Mitchell, Age 80 passed away peacefully in her home on August 18th,2022.
She was born to the late Hugh and Ruby McDonald, January 12th 1942, in Rozel, Kansas. She Graduated High School in Larned, KS and continued her education in Denver, CO.
She married the late Dr. Jerry Kenneth Mitchell, PHD in May of 1961 and they moved to Denver, then Seattle, back to Colorado and settled in Salt Lake
City Utah in 1974.
Donna is survived by sons Mike (Tammy) Mitchell of Salt Lake City and Sean (Roslyn) of Carlsbad CA. She is also Survived by three Grandchildren, Nathan (Carly) Mitchell, Sara Worthington and Josie Mitchell as well as 7 Great Grandchildren, Penny, Ellie and Zoey Mitchell and Abby, Kait, Jack and Liza Worthington. Donna is also survived by her brother in law Dennis Lee (Valentine) Mitchell, sister Kathy (Lloyd) Bolson and her
family as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry, parents Hugh and Ruby McDonald, in laws Kenneth and Hazel Mitchell, sister Mary Mickle and brothers Leslie and Scott McDonald.
Donna was an avid backpacker, skier and later, car camper all over the west, with a special love of southern Utah which sheimparted to her children. She enjoyed travel, going to China, Australia, Mexico and much of the US in retirement. Games, puzzles and group game days were some of her favorite
pastimes.
She was a member of the Methodist Church all her life and became very active later in life holding or assisting in many callings at Christ United Methodist Church in Millcreek Utah.
A memorial service will be held at 11am September 16th, 2022 at Christ United Methodist Church, 2375 East 3300 South SLC Utah 84109 to commemorate her life. There will be a light lunch served after the service.
