Donna Ann (Johnson) Merrill

Donna, 79, passed away knowing she was loved by all who knew her. She was born in Headland, AL and moved to Vallejo, CA where she was raised by her adopted parents Lester and Hazel Johnson and reared with adopted brother Frank.  She married Richard Charles Merrill on April 19, 1956 and settled in Salt Lake.  Together they owned and managed Lake Hills Memorial Park where they raise their children, Mike, Tim and Stew.  Some of her fondest memories were when the Family ran Lake Hills.  Much time was spent running the business but whenever possible Donna found time to sneak off to play golf, go bowling, play cards or numerous other games, just so she could get together and socialize with friends.

She is survived by her two oldest boys Mike and Tim Merrill whom have provided her 7 grandchildren and many a back yard BBQ.  She was the Chatty Kathy of the family but more importantly she was a very loving daughter, wife and mom that always found ways to seek out the greatest moments in life just by being Donna.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 23, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 S. 2300 E., Salt Lake City, where friends and family can visit 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the service.
